We hope that we are able to answer some of the questions you have right here on this page. If we have not, please feel free to email us at info@Ambitiousmovement.com

How old do I have to be to be a part of the DMTB intensive?

Students need to be 10 to 18 years old but there can be exceptions for those who are younger and talented beyond their years. If you enjoy dance and want to learn how to take your dance ability to a new level, then this program is for you. Now keep in mind we are not a beginner-level intensive, so you should have at least 1-2+ year of competitive or pre-competitive training at a dance studio or take intermediate to advanced drop-in classes. Talent is talent no matter where you learn. We work to your ability level and not your age category, so you may find yourself dancing with older dancers if you are the young and talented.

We look at you from two points of view:  your physiological age and your dance age.  Your birth date is not a concern when it comes to learning how to be a better dancer.

If your son/daughter is 8 or 9 years old and you believe they are ready for this intensive, please email a YouTube video of your child doing a one-minute dance routine or freestyle in their preferred style to Anthony@Ambitiousmovement.com and your submission will be reviewed.

What is each day like?

Every new day presents a new challenge with a gradual progression. The program will test you mentally and physically in order to see you grow. Each day is fun and you learn something new each and every day. At best we give you a rough outline as to what the week is going to look like but, in order for our instructors to pull out that amazing performer inside, we refrain from giving you the play by play …got to keep you on your toes somehow!

With each day, you have Ambitious Anthony working on the dance routine and on strength & conditioning. Each day also involves time with Ambitious Anthony and/or one of our Guest choreographers working on specific skills and Hip-Hop foundation. We do give dancers a lunch break and regular breaks in between to grab some snacks and water so that they can re-charge.

What happens if I have a medical condition?

We take medical conditions very seriously, including allergies. We understand that people have a variety of allergies to food and sometimes even smell. Our Program is a peanut-free environment. Dancers learn how to handle their medical conditions in a fun and safe environment. We rely on the registration form to be advised of any medical conditions, so please be thorough.

How early can I drop off my dancers? How late can I pick them up?

An After Care program is offered by the Dream Centre for both early drop-off and late pick-up.  Because the Dream Centre is hosting the DMTB intensive, they have kindly offered to provide complimentary After Care to dancers registered for the intensive from as early as 7:00 a.m. and up to 6:00 p.m.  Please make sure to fully fill out that section of the registration form.
